So i take it your credit history is very good? It should be if you are getting 250 CG and 250 interest free overdraft. Or is LTSB more interested in getting fees??
I have banked with lloyds for 13 years, I have a internal risk score of 3 my external credit score is good. But that said i can't upgrade to premier so i do think criteria is more important than fees.
I.e they give you a £250.00 CG card, and you decide to go and write thirty checks thats £7500.00 it would take them a long time in account FEES to reclaim that amount:D0 -

Thats what i thought. The fees are more to do with the available package with the account, not giving LTSB platinum cards out to anyone with £250 CG willy nilly in return for paying a fee per month. That would be wrong. I got good credit history, and i assumed had i not got a good credit history (ie defaults, missed payments etc) then they would not have given me a platinum. What are the criteria for having a premier card? I don't want one even if they offered me one because i found platinum more suited to my needs and value for money.0 -
HSBC is similar, If you have defaults etc and you apply for the HSBC Plus account you still get a £100 cheque guarantee.0

That is not true. I had HSBC PLUS black debit card and did not have a £100 cheque guarantee but then this is because i am on a managed loan...but i never been overdrawn...i ve been mis-sold.0 -
I should have not got the managed loan in the first place... however since ive been on managed loan, ive never missed a payment and now its 700 quid outstanding with 4 months to go...i had been paying managed loan for over 2 years. I am looking to reclaim interest applied in managed loan because ive been mis-sold. HSBC have admitted i should be on personal loan. That said, interest on managed loan is very low because of BoE base rate so no point converting into a personal loan.0
