Looking for a nice restuarant near heathrow airport that we can park very near, any ideas?
We are meeting friends after they have landed and before we take off and want a nice decent place to eat that won't be a rip off and as we have luggage in the cars unless we can take them into resturant parking would have to be very close.
We did think about one of the airport hotels but never had a very good experience of food in them, very overpriced bland rubbish!!
Any ideas?

There's a wetherspoons and other fairly decent family restaurants in most of the terminals (the one in T2 is definitely landside, but I'm not sure about the others). There's supposed to be nice pubs that serve food in the nearby villages (the ones that will soon be demolished, so go now!), but I've never been so I don't know about parking. Then there's always McDonalds just outside the airport...0

Will have to look on the news sites for the names of those villages, good thinking!!Aim to win in 2013 - a holiday somewhere nice, New York break, treats for family & friends & some cash would be lovely!!!0 -
I haven't been there for a while, and i'm not certain about car parking (i think they have one) but you could look into The Osterich at Colnbrook

Also I believe The Five Bells in Harmondsworth is supposed to be good for pub grub

The Premier Inn on Bath Road has about 3 or 4 different places to eat. It's all open plan downstairs and the prices are reasonable. The car park is at the back. There is also a Chinese restaurant called London Hong Kong further down Bath Rd just past the main entrance to T1, 2 and 3 - I haven't eaten in there but it looks ok.

The ostrich is nice but the five bells is a dump. Try the pheasant in Harlington which has good food and free parking.0

I'd have to recommend London-Hong Kong, too. My family and friends regularly go there. However, it is slightly on the pricey side but there is ample parking in their grounds or after 6pm the car park opposite gets used. Lunch time they do Dim Sum which works out rather cheap pp as you share the little dishes. I'd say about £9ish pp at Lunch and £15-20 pp Dinner/a la carte.
on the same side of the Bath road but right opposite the T123 junction is the Park Inn hotel. They have a buffet which is about £15 pp. If you eat there, parking is free.
If you want a pub meal, there is a pub called the Jolly Waggoner towards Hounslow on the Bath Road where it meets the A312, at the roundabout. I've never eaten there so I can't really give you an approximate price. HTH0 -

I'd go for the Ostrich too. It was my local when I worked nearby and yes it does have a car park. I haven't been there for a while, but there used to be a really good chinese in Wraysbury too (The Noble Palace). A bit more expensive than pub grub at the Ostrich, but very good food and great service. Please stay safe in the sun and learn the A-E of melanoma: A = asymmetry, B = irregular borders, C= different colours, D= diameter, larger than 6mm, E = evolving, is your mole changing?
