Can I find a persons place of employment.

Is it possible to somehow find a persons place of employment.I have their name,profession and date of birth.I want to send a valentines card but have no idea where they work.They also live in a different town.Sending to their home address is not an option.

i dont think it is possible as as far as i knw theres no actual record of where each person works, you tried using facebook or friends reunited to find them

I sent a friends invite on friends reunited but it hasn't been accepted yet.However I know from experience that people don't always check back very frequently on there.

Presume you've tried just googling the name? Tried with "accountant" etc also in the search query or the name of town or area?

Try looking up accountancy companies in the town e.g. with yell.co.uk, then look for staff lists on their web sites. Just tried that in my town and many of them have got an "About us" page with smiling photos of the staff. You might get lucky.

Presumably you know this person? So maybe a text or phone call? Or personal note to her home address requesting she e-mail you at...?

Does any use friends reunited any more, it's a ghost town since facebook?

If they are a qualified accountant with a firm, or registered with an accountancy qualification, Google will help you out.

Yes I tried their name, also with accountant but no direct luck.Had already thought about getting the names of accounting firms and searched last night with a view to ringing them one by one.However there were absolutely loads so i dismissed the idea.Plus not everyone works in their hometown.Your idea of the "about us" is a good one,I will certainly give it a try.
