I am in the process of selling my house and after fees etc should have 10k left. I am embarking on a year/longer overseas job. I was wondering does anyone have any suggestions as where to save this money so if come back have a deposit for a house?thanks

You can tie it up in a year fixed. However if you come back early and want the money there will be a penalty.0
