It may be a security measure, but they should be off during the day!Norn Iron Club member 4730

The lights were not on this afternoon but they are on tonight - it must indeed be for security.0

Re: Dunnes in Connswater
It certainly looks to me like something is afoot. There is very little stock in there at the minute.
The whole shopping centre is dead. Woolies have closed, Easons have gone, the Christmas/Flower shops are away. Soon Barratts and Priceless will close. Oh and Mr Pickwicks has gone too.
My betting is that Primark will move into the Woolies store. I have nothing whatsoever to back this up other than I think that Connswater would be a good catchment area for them.
So much for the big extension - there was talk of River Island etc moving in but nothing other than a great big glass foyer. :rolleyes:0 -
I think Connswater went huge at just the wrong time?! recession? I know, lets build a huge glass entrance and food court with a sarnie place in it...but no shops???!! I find it really depressing going down there, no next, no easons, no flower/candle shop...can anyone from Connswater enlighten as, as Ive stopped going down there altogether now. Would rather head out to Ards or Bloomfield, both of which seem pretty busy and mostly full of shops?Feel free to thank me, it makes my toes tingle and my ears go warm :T0

Yea just been round to Connswater..............how depressing. There are no decent clothes shops left. How many more food courts are going to open. I personally prefer a half decent old fashioned cafe....never was a fan off Pickwicks either. These foodcourts are overpriced poor quality JUNK crap.0

Connswater really makes me laugh................anyone any ideas what the point in the massive glass entrance hall is?! Also cant really get why they built another level on the car park when there is hardly any shops in there now so I would reckon there would be a lot less customers!
Would agree with the something strange going on in Dunnes though, I used to work in that particular store and it was never as lacking in stock as that! Granted sometimes we doubled and even triped up on things to 'bulk it out a bit' but it looks really empty at the minute. Its hard to wait around for that something you know may never happen, but its harder to give up when you know its everything you ever wanted.........
People tell me Im going the wrong way..............when its simply a way of my own!0 -
I have walked past the Bangor store numerous times in recent weeks during the day and the lights are always on 24/7. What a waste!0
