I wanna get rid of my toothache!!

  • thanks all

i am gonna see how it goes over the weekend and pray it goes away!! i have brought some clove oil to ease it for the time being. i think it is my wisdom tooth and the gum etc feels all swollen and sensitive so maybe it is just having a little try at coming through!! it is half through! OOWWWWW nasty tooth.

if all else fails i will be brave on monday and book an appointment. it is just the money that puts me off. i live in a tiny village in the middle of nowhere and we have one dentist which obviously is not NHS! the NHS dentists in my area (over 30 mins away) wont take on any new patients, so although it isnt a money saving issue, it kind of is. I simply cannot afford the charges of a private dental surgery!! last time i went for a check up and came out after having a tooth out over £200 lighter!

so i am gonna have to ride it out for the time being and hope that it goes away! and failing that go to my dentist :-(

    thanks all

Clove oil is useless if it's a wisdom tooth, and may well burn the gum causing ulceration.
    How to find a dentist.
    1. Get recommendations from friends/family/neighbours/etc.
    2. Once you have a short-list, VISIT the practices - dont just phone. Go on the pretext of getting a Practice Leaflet.
    3. Assess the helpfulness of the staff and the level of the facilities.
    4. Only book initial appointment when you find a place you are happy with.

    Hi Loopyloulou

I'm going to move your thread over to the health board, where hopefully you will get more replies.

Hi, Martin’s asked me to post this in these circumstances: I’ve asked Board Guides to move threads if they’ll receive a better response elsewhere(please see this rule) so this post/thread has been moved to another board, where it should get more replies.
