I had a recent update of Java and since then when I go to some (safe) sites I get a warning box telling me the site uses an earlier form of Java and do I want to continue or cancel (says about security issues with earlier forms of Java).
I try to continue or cancel but whatever I do, I just get further warning boxes and in the end I have to restart the computer to get rid of them.
Ive tried accessing the site I want by turning off my security but I still get the warning box coming up.
Can anyone please help?

Uninstall Java and then try installing it again. Might solve your problem. What site are you trying to access?0

Hi Terry, its a number of sites, nothing scarey - in fact the last one is a Traditional music association site -
I just get the warning box up telling me the site needs a lesser java and that it may have security issues if I use that. I then have an option to run or cancel and whatever I choose just another box jumps up. I cant clear them and have to restart the computer.
As you say, may be best to uninstall JAVA and see what happens. Thanks for responding.
Ive now removed Java 6 Update 11 which was the latest one.0 -

Java is a run-time environment, if it is asking you to restart then maybe you should?
Since when has the world of computer software design been about what people want? This is a simple question of evolution. The day is quickly coming when every knee will bow down to a silicon fist, and you will all beg your binary gods for mercy.0 -
Hi Proliant, it wasnt asking me to restart. I had to keep restarting just to get rid of the warning box that kept popping up but would then not respond to cancel or run.
Terry, after deleting that update, Ive been back to the site and woo hoo, accessed it.0 -
