We have been on a debt management programme for about 4 years and have got defaults on credit cards and a bank account. What I want to know is, as we have agreements with these companies to pay back reduced amounts and the interest is frozen, would it totally upset the apple cart to ask for the charges back? If you can help please let me know.

Oh I was about to post very similar post!
Have been on DMP for 4 months and looking at claiming unauthorized overdraft charges.

You can certainly do this. My friend has done so and reclaimed over £2,000 so far. Of course, if you are still in debt with the companies that you are reclaiming from, they will just knock the amounts of your debt - but that still means you will be debt free sooner.
Don't forget to reclaim from every company you have had an account with in the last six years. Don't forget old credit cards, store cards, catalogue and internet shopping.0 -
but are you sure they won't go back on the agreements I have with them to freeze the interest?0

No I'm not sure but from this forum and others I get the impression it doesn't work that way.
Try debt help forums as well for advice.
