Hi,
is there a program you can download somewhere (for free hopefully!) that'll alert you whenever an item you're selling has sold, or whenever you get a question etc....? i've looked on here & on google but can't find much useful.
any advice appreciated

The eBay toolbar is the thing I think you're looking for.0

That toolbar looked good until i realised it was only for IE :rolleyes:0

yes, thanks for that.... i mainly use Firefox so unfortunately this isn't the one for me.
Is there not a program that works in the same kind of way as MSN? IE, a box pops up when you've sold something.0 -
I don't think there is anything but in one of the tabs on MSN you can access 'My eBay'.0

I believe the ebay toolbar has loads of spyware in it as well so depends whether you like being watched!:smileyhea0

The toolbar comes in 2 parts. The ebay toolbar, and the ebay alerter. The toolbar only works for IE, but the alerter runs as a background program and is the one that does all the popups and stuff. This starts up when you start the PC and runs in your system tray. The alerter has nothing to do with any browser so you can "use it with firefox" with no problems. The only thing is, you need to use IE to download and install the toolbar and alerter in the first place. Once installed, you can put IE back to bed.
If you have a decent firewall, it will spot the alerter contacting base and you can choose to allow or block it. Obviously it will need to contact Ebay but you can block other sites (if any popup).0 -
Follow up:
For Firefox users. an alternative to the ebay alerter is the auction tamer (http://www.auctiontamer.com) which has all sorts tools and popups for buyers and sellers. However, it isn't free. There is a free buyers tool (http://www.buyertools.com/) which can do similar things and has a firefox extension, but this doesn't have any features for sellers.0
