HSBC - Should I make * them * an offer?

Hi -
I submitted a claim with HSBC for around £3,600 a short while before the "Test Case" and, like everyone else, I've had the case "stayed".. Since the date of the claim, I think I incurred another £100 or so of charges.
As I don't actually "need" the money - and I'm not wishing to sound arrogant, I got an inheritance which allowed me to pay off all my debts except for the mortgage, is it worth me contacting HSBC and offering to settle now for £3k with an agreement that I drop the case and don't submit any future claim for a refund of charges?
Has anyone else made an offer? Or am I just being plain daft?

Could any one help me please I have had a current account with HSBC for about 20 years and recently opened a business account. I have an overdraft and due to personal difficulties have accidently gone over my overdraft this month (I have done this once b4 unfortunatly) however, I didnt realise I had done this so put petrol in my car using my cash point card and other things overall I went over my overdraft by 4 transactions and now HSBC are charging me £25.00 for each one therefore a charge of 100.00 is being inforced, does anyone know if i have any rights here to fight it, as money is very tight for me and everyone else at mo and this is going to make things even worse esp when i have 2 children to feed to.0

You can ask HSBC to add the £100 to your total claim. However HSBC will not do anything except for hardship applications until the test case have been sorted out. It should be automatically refunded once the test case is resolved....Hope this is ok.0 -

Write to the customer relations department in Leeds ASAP and request that they refund you £100. If you are struggling financially, you can claim hardship application which will be dealt more quickly in dealing with your request.
Do mention to HSBC you are a long standing customer of 20 years and if they refuse to budge or refund the charges, then tell them you will be moving your custom elsewhere!
If you need any help regarding template letter or address to write to, PM me or reply and i will get back to you.0
