I have a Tassimo and I wouldn't be without it. I love the coffee and I don't think its too expensive to buy the discs. There is so much choice available from the tassimon shop and Fairtrade is available as are branded coffees such as Starbucks, Carte Noire, Kenco, Suchard Hot Choc and Milka Hot Choc.
I would recommend Tassimo everytime over the other pod machines but each to there own
Wife to a great husband and mum to 4 fantastic kids 9,8,4,3 they drive me mad but I would do anything and give everything for my family :grinheart

i've had a Dolce Gusto for over a year now and i wouldn't be without it, i've even bought them for friends and family, there are a variety of different coffees, including decaffinated, the hot chocolate is lovely, they also do iced coffee, i registered on their site and save all my points, i've had extra cups and mugs, if there is any new ones coming out then they always send me free samples to trywins so far:- absolutely nothing, not even an arguement:mad:0

I totally agree - get her a Spa Weekend or take her away somewhere nice.0 -
From what I have heard pod machines are just an expensive way to get a very average cup of coffee?"The happiest of people don't necessarily have the

Italians are renowned for their coffee - most italians use one of these for use in their house -

Spanish people also favour these for home use. That and a grinder and you'll have really good results - not just as good as the expensive pressure driven coffee machines but pretty good. That and they look gorgeous!0 -
You're obviously not that into coffee.Sui_Generis wrote: »Fun? Seriously? Its a kitchen appliance.
My boyfriend booked us into a very expensive spa hotel over Christmas - he was the only one who used the facilities. I have no interest in that kind of thing, I found a nice cheap hostel but he declined to book that.barginunter wrote: »I totally agree - get her a Spa Weekend or take her away somewhere nice.
Maybe, just maybe, the OP knows his wife better than either of you.
This is a fab idea. My boyfriend bought me a sort of mini one of these from Italy, the coffee was lovely but it was too small really. I've been on the lookout since for a nice stainless steel one. You have to be careful how you clean the aluminium ones and some people reckon they make the coffee taste a bit metallic. In fact, I will renew my search as my birthday is coming up...Italians are renowned for their coffee - most italians use one of these for use in their house -
