    OpenOffice allows you to edit MS office files and also has a PDF export button right on the main menu bar.

    Another vote for PrimoPDF. I agree with another poster, its got a nice easy to use UI whereby you can alter the quality settings of the PDF thereby having control over the final PDF size.

    I know about CutePDF but I've never tried it as PrimoPDF suits me fine - I gather that they both work in a similar way.

    On a similiar vain any good ( free not trial ) scan to pdf programs

    had one on my lexmark scanner s/w package - then upgraded to HP AIO which again worked fine until I upgraded a Vista PC

    You may have a solution now, but I use this. Print straight from any program to PDF

    Any idea on any portable version of these software that can print HTML (web pages) into PDF?
    Do I want it? ......Do I need it? ......What would happen if I don't buy it??????

    Firefox have an add-in that does that - pdf download
    It's taken me years of experience to get this cynical
