Help/advise needed please

Hi
I have a poor credit score and have done for some time (I am making steps to improving this, but that's for another thread)
Anyway, I have recently moved into a new flat with my girlfriend and am trying to be ultra careful not to tarnish her good credit score with my pittiful one.
Is there anything we should def avoid?
Tenancy is just in my name and up until today all bills were to be in hers although I have just been told that both our names have been given to the electric comp (although her's is the billable name)
Any advice would be great
