AAone netbook(yes the ASDA one) with linux &fedoro.Been on the internet wirelessly since monday with D-link router/modem from talktalk .Turn AAO on this a.m & can't get wireless connection .Lan(ethernet) works straight away
Neighbours unsecure Netgear show,my talktalk show(few secure ones also) but just can't get it to connect wirelessly. Connection management box keeps popping up"the network connection has been disconnected)
Have I uninstalled/installed software without realising I may disconnect wireless? ? I'm not familar with linux & it doesn't seem to have restore point (like my desktop Win.XP) Or do I have to start at sq.1 & do the recovery disc:eek: If so,can I use my desktop to install via usb/usb? as I've no external cd drive or flashstick . Thanks.

I'm having exactly the same problem. It never seems to be able to acquire the network address from the router. I also happen to be using a D-Link. I wonder if it's d-link related?
Not found much to go on really. May give up and install xp, which is supposed to work.0 -

Was on aspireoneuser most yesterday, none of the remedies would be excepted by my netbook.Seems a very common problem, just the wireless side thats"disconnected" on mine. Will atempt the recovery disc but unsure about this whole episode now. Think you my be right Emu ,XP/windows may be better for novices.
By way,I think problem may have happened because battery wasn't locked using 2nd switch(opposite battery release switch) The morning it all kicked off AAO was DEAD 'till I plugged into mains.0 -
Did the recovery disc-thanks to theacerguy.com video- Still no wifi. Seems such a common problem-look at www.aspireoneuser.com >networking & WiFI>"wireless problem all lost".
Had to go back,no wireless no use0
