pre-paid gas meter has battery icon and "fail"

My gas meter says "battery" and "fail" and I have no gas.

I have only just started living alone so I have no idea who my supplier is or how to contact them, please help!

I really don't know what to do so any help will be gladly appreciated.

Ring you5r gas supplier asap. The battery needs replacing. Once reported,there is a 4 hour window to fix.

You'd think so... I don't recieve bills or anything from the company so I don't know who my supplier is and the card only has an address to return the card to if it is found.

When you top up your gas card it tells you on the receipt you get who your supplier is, you could quickly go to the shop and top it up by a fiver and then phone the company on the receipt.

Some gascards are generic/no names and some people have cards with the insignia of one gas supplier but mysteriously,are the customer of another. Welcome to the liberalised market.

If you phone british gas they can tell you.

We had to do this when we moved into our new house - even the letting agent didn't know!!
