Card transfers & new cards

So between us, my husband and I have around 20k of credit card debt spread fairly evenly between them.

We have no spare credit on any of them to do any transfers so cannot consolidate this way.

Does applying for a new card to consolidate these other debts work?

We have had to start living on cards as we used our little bit of savings and due to a new job my hubbies wages have reduced, causing this situ which has built up over about 7 months.

We spend nothing but our debts, bills, petrol and food and run at about £3-400 short each month. There's nothing else we can get rid of to try and help the situ.

HELP!!!!

 Thanks

To be honest I don't think getting another card will help. If you are £300 short each month then by next year you will have even more credit card debt. I suggest you deal with what you've got now. Post on the debt free wannabe board for some friendly advice.
