cheesed off with all this HIPS business, what do i go for?

Hi there, ive just been searching on the net at HIPS and found myself getting annoyed at the whole situation.

I think there is to bodies, IPPA (expensive option) and HIPcode (cheap option)

I would normally do it properly and go with the a company that is part of the IPPA and pay a bit extra, but would i be throwing my money away?

If a company that joined the HIPcode is going to do a good job i might as well go with them, but are they going to give me what i need? why are they so cheap ?

My estate agent is £250+v With hippd.co.uk ???? any good ?

The whole thing is a joke.

Can anyone shed any light.

Thanks

  • The HIPS I get - use the HIP code. They have everything you need in it for a HIP Local Search Drainage Search etc etc. Most HIP companies also have indemnity insurance to protect themselves so whichever you chose you should be protected under their indemnity insurance. I can get HIPS for £225.00 + VAT they are HIP code I've not experienced any problems yet............... Not heard of hippd.co.uk. Hope this helps.
