Job done then - ironically the P&P will cost more than the 10 or so I will order. I will put the order through on Monday all being well.
Regarding the mics we would want to record voice overs for various things - we have a 4 mic mixer but that means one pc at time as we have on output only. We could use these to record onto 4 separately.

    Thanks very much mymatebob

Any time I have used CPC they have been pretty quick at delivering

I am sure you will be fine with the mics, as long as they don't get their power from the mixer.

Do you record onto the pcs and then mix the voice overs with what ever it is you are voicing over?

    it's all new :rotfl:
trying to ensure primary school children are au fait with the techie stuff - well WE need to be too! and time is ever our enemy.
My downloading of podcasts has only just started! We just don't have the time, or indeed the funding, to keep up IMHO. But we are doing our level best.
What I am aiming to do, at some point, is involve the children in 'stop-go' animation (I think that's what it's called - like Wallace and Gromit but it could be drawn...) so they would need to voice over - so I assume the jacks could be used for both jobs. I know the theory of it but need to try it out for myself first.

I got a multi pack with big to small, small to big and 2 to 1 adaptors in a pound shop, so may be worth looking in such places, and also places like Wilkinson's and even eBay. Maplins are generally the most expensive shop for this kind of thing but at least you know what to search for and there are lots of electrical suppliers online. :)
A waist is a terrible thing to mind.

My DS did an animation thing over last summer with a local arts organisation.
They used a great programme but they were all on Apple Macs.

The kids turned out some amazing stuff.

    Have fun

Just to let you know they have arrived at 22p each from CPC - had to set up an account as we can reclaim VAT so the headphones we were unable to use in the pc towers have now been adapted.

    Thank you all!
