Restore Acer lappy

hi
i have a 3 year old acer aspire laptop and it's getting a bit sluggish. i am going to use the restore disc to wipe the 'c' drive and, ermmm, restore it. i have partitioned the hard drive into a few different drives. in the instructions for the restore disc it states that the hard drive will be restored to its original state, will this operation remove all my partitions from the hard drive or just go onto my, now smaller than original, 'c' drive?

thanks in advance.

It should remove all your partitions an leave it as it left the factory, unless of course you made your back up after you changed the partitions.

hi matty538, the restore disc is the one from acaer that came with the laptop. i will give it a go an see what happens. i was thinking of putting a stand alone xp back on but i will then have to go and find all the drivers for the bits that are in it. decisions decisions!!
