Need to complain to RBS.

Can someone tell me the address of the CEO for Royal Bank of Scotland?
They are pursuing me for debts which were paid off in full 2 years ago
When I phone the number on the letters they are sending and quote the reference number, the advisors cannot even locate the "debt" on the system.
Initially, I was getting letters relating to both myself and my husband who died in June last year...I am still off sick following this and can do without the added distress.
I wrote to them and got a letter apologising for their error re my DH.
Then last week another letter arrived saying I owed them for an overdraft  which was paid off 2 yrs ago with all the other debts.
The ridiculous thing is, the statement they sent me shows a "partial payment" in Dec 08....where the hell did that come from
 as I have had no dealings with them since Jan 2007.
In June 2007, I reclaimed our bank charges and at first they said we were overdrawn so the bank charges were just swallowed up by the outstanding debt even though we had settled the debts 6 months previously.
I contacted the solicitors who had been dealing with it and they confirmed the debts were zeroed. Then they phoned me back to say they had "neglected" to pass the money to settle the debts onto RBS>
No apologies...
I am so mad and so upset about this. I am still grieving for my husband and now these animals are chasing me.
The last RBS advisor I spoke to told me to send in all my evidence and make a complaint but I am on sick pay and I really can't keep affording to spend money on phone calls and postage.
It's the mental stress that is the worst.
I shake every time I see a letter from RBS arrive.
Please can someone tell me what to do.

I suggest sending this letter from the BBC Watchdog site.

Is this a case you could refer to the Ombudsman? This really sounds like it is very distressing and needs to be resolved very quickly.0

Sorry for your loss, and the incredibly difficult and stressful situation you find yourself in Janey.
What about telephoning the cab?
They might be able to fix you up with a face to face interview with them, and handle this partly for you. They have template letters and sometimes can get the situation resolved while you are there with a phone call. Can't give you the number ,but you can search here.http://www.citizensadvice.org.uk/index/getadvice.htm0 -
looks like the current ceo is stephen hester
You could try the format stephenhester@rbs.co.uk
at a guess.0 -
Thanks all.
hollydays my nearest CAB is over 30 miles away so rather a lot of diesel!!
I will try and find a contact address for the current CEO. Shame Fred Goodwin couldn't have got his bank sorted out before he left.
I hate banks.
And they always blame the computers. The advisors I spoke to were nice enough but couldn't help as they didn't have access to the accounts becuae the computer didn't recognse the number.
One person asked me if I was sure it was from them so I told her the letter had their address and Royal Bank of Scotland plastered across the top.0 -
My cab has sessions in my local doctors surgery once a week,it might be worth checking that there isn't anything nearer.Good luck.0
