Replacing Integrated Appliances

My dishwasher that came with an IKEA kitchen has gone wrong for the third time in four years. I really think it would be best to replace it.
Are integrated appliances from different manufacturers interchangeable ?
My slimline DW is roughly 45cm wide, would the front cover panel attach to any similar sized machine in the same way as now ?

FWIW we got so fed up trying to source replacement integrated appliances, and paying over the odds for refitting them, that we refitted our worktops so that dishwasher and fridge now slot in under the counter while the freestanding cooker (which replaced oven and hob) is now level with worktop. Replacements are now so easy we dont want to go back to integrated!
Sorry that this doesnt help in your case.0 -
Quite a few manufacturers do a slimline integrated D/W, take a look at the Bosch website for starters. As long as the D/W takes the same height of door (as in full height with controls on top edge of D/W door, or shorter with exposed front controls) then your door will fit. Appliances are standard sizes these days.0

You might have to cut the plinth though with a different dishwasher if the door is slightly different.Posts are not advice and must not be relied upon.0

We have replaced our intergrated dishwasher three times and all have fitted in fine and door has been easlier put onto new dishwasher - you may just have to reto the screw measurements for the door.
This is full size though.0 -

I agreee, I've had 3 Bosch machines in my time - they've all been great value! Although I've got to disagree on previous posters about the ease / less expense of buying a new machine. The one I've got now, I had a repair job done by a company called repair care, brilliant job.0
