I usually spend my Nectar points in Argos. 500 points gets £2.50 off anything bought.

I didn't know you could spend them in Argos.

  • You get better deals using the point rather than just cashing them in, but there has been lots of bad press recently about the scheme.
No Unapproved or Personal links in signatures please - FT3
  • I have given up collecting the points, used to click through the nectar site when shopping on line for extra points. The deals are rubbish IMHO, no where near as good as Tesco and you can get more back , cash value wise, by using a cashback site for online shopping.
Eat food, not edible food-like items. Mostly plants.
  • I shop in Sainsburys and we buy our fuel there so we rack up a few points over the year which I use to do my christmas food shop.

Year before last I had £80 give or take to take off the bill - just about halved it
  • I want to use my points to buy sainsbury's petrol. The nectar site tells you that the only way to do this is by vouchers. In the help file it gives you a link to go to for ordering vouchers - the link takes you to the 'spend points' page. I cannot find anything on this page which enables me to order vouchers!

Please can someone point me in the right direction? Thanks :)
Trying to only spend money when I absolutely have to.
Barclaycard: £4559-1500 = £3059 (Will have £900 to add to that end of September)
    Loan from Friend = £2000
  • Sometimes Nectar does special offfers, like a sort of sale, I tend to save mine and then when the offer is on cash them in for CDs or DVDs
2p off is still 2p off!

So do you have to check nectar site in regular basis to get "special offers"?
