I have money with PO but angry re Irish position.
Money with Tesco but postings here regularly seem to slate them.
Money with Northern Rock without problem.
I now need to put some other money somewhere and was reading back posts and the YBS seem to be spoken about quite well. Is this still the case? I am not chasing, and re-chasing, the top interest rates for this new account but one that is easy to open and civilised service.

Had no problems joining, swift easy service, card arrived and pin soon after.0

Had a few accounts with YBS over the years and never had any problems.
I just recently opened 2 new accounts with them and it all went smoothly.
I particularly like the fact that you can transfer money into a new account using a debit card (don't know if this applies to all their account though).0 -
i'd also agree - easy to open and simple to use. 2nd only to bank of scotland stuff.
but in experience RBS are a total unequivocal nightmare.Mr & Mrs Doomcow Wedding Fund: £10200/£18000 (by 04/2012) (spent £2000)

We are new customers.....but I have to say the account opening process is superb. Call centre staff excellent and website very good.
Only negative so far is the lack of faster payments into and out of the account.

I have just opened 4 accounts with them. It all went smoothly. I just had to pop in the local branch with some identifications. I do agree, payment in and out of account is a bit slow. I used debit card for deposit, and was not allowed to withdraw until four days later.0

I know this isn't directly related to YBS, but I just wanted to put in a good word for Tesco. They have faster payments in and out, and a great interest rate. The account takes a while to get up and running, but if you already have the account, it's great.
The only people I've seen slating them are people that are impatient. You're spelling is effecting me so much. Im trying not to be phased by it but your all making me loose my mind on mass!! My head is loosing it's hair. I'm going to take myself off the electoral role like I should of done ages ago and move to the Caribean. I already brought my plane ticket, all be it a refundable 1.0 -

I am keeping the Tesco account but need a new one for extra cash coming in. I haven't had to use them as my money is sitting there so no experience of good or bad apart from others on this forum. However I recall it took a very long time to get it up and running,A retired senior partner, in own agency, with 40 years experience in property sales & new build. More praise for YBS. I've had a regular saver with them in the past and account opening is very quick and internet access is straightforward. I opened an Internet Saver account with them yesterday which took about 5-10 minutes to open and could log in straight away.0

Yes, YBS is one that I use and absolutely no problems to report.

I also use YBS and have had no problems whatsoever, it is a bit of a pain to wait for debit card payments to go through granted, but you start earning interest on those payments within a day or two so it's not all bad.0
