aaah.. you're wanting to use garamond for your signature here.. i doubt that will work

It should do and does. If it is correctly instilled on your PC.

It is an available font offered by the forum's signature editor.

I can see Meher's signature formatted in that font.

The question is why can't they, and what can be done about it?

I can find the font in my folder actually - it appears like it is not being installed.

I wanted to use garamond for my signature and it is not working - that's the problem. I don't know if it is this site's problem or if it is my laptop's. My signature appears to me as defaut font - verdana. All other fonts seem to be working.

I'm seeing this post and the signature in Garamond.

I think it's a great font, BUT it's not ideal for web use, imho.

For an internet user to see the font it must be installed on their computer. A lot of people will see the garamond font because it comes with Microsoft Office.

A webpage cannot instruct a computer to download & install a font for pretty obvious reasons.

Best stick to the default fonts which come with Windows for internet use.
Or you can make it an image !

It looks like the OP wants to know:

    1. Where/how to get the font.
    2. How to make sure it is correctly installed so that the browser can use/display it.

Note: Images (apart from a smiley built into the board) are not allowed in signatures.

    Thanks fermi. you're spot on.

I've had this signature in garamond until yesterday morning when my laptop crashed and I reset it.

I learnt to add and install fonts avaliable in my computer, from a website and and even found the fonts folder and was mighty impressed with myself. Today I discovered I have a garamond font afterall. But I cannot, for the life in me understand how you all can see my signature in garamond and to me my signature appears to be in verdana. I'm positive I followed all the steps and installed all fonts from my back up folder into the fonts folder. I've no problems viewing any other fonts but garamond is a mystery to me. Thing is I don't want any specialized garamond. I want only MSE garamond.

my signature looked just beautiful in garamond - now it is in my face,
far too big for my liking:
