Faulty Electric Heaters?
Ive just had an e-bill from eon. They want to put my DD upto £166 a month! Yes I'm all electric (non E7). I have just been down to see the meter and believe it or not after giving them a meter reading yesterday I have used 50 units in 24 hours!
I am guilty I think. I have a 2Kw convection heater in the kitchen which I put on frost protection when I goto bed (as I do with all my convection heaters). Im sure I have come down in the morning and heard it click on and off and its not been that cold in the house! Needless to say I have switched it off at the wall and taken a meter reading, will see what the reading is like tomorrow same time.
It has to be a faulty thermostat on a heater, 50 units in 24 hours is one hell of a lot, even for me. I usually get though about 10 units a day in the winter!

We used plug in heaters last year before having central heating and found them horrendously expensive. All right for a small flat but unmanageable for a family house - and we never had them on when we weren't in a room, certainly not overnight. Hopefully, you'll be back to normal tomorrow.0
