Me being a owning a computer repair company in Hertfordshire is suffering a little. People are watching their pennies I think. The media doesn't help business, they make a man out of a mole hill.
    Kind Regards
    Bill
  • Hi,

Thanks for sharing the useful information.

Here is some important information about Home Care Marketing.

Home care marketing companies have different marketing segments to consider. Professionals in this field will have to keep in mind three aspects while designing marketing strategies. First is the clients; it is customers who will be ultimately utilizing their services. Second in line of importance is the source that ultimately influences the client to buy your services, and lastly comes the source that funds your projects. The client base can either be poor disabled people or the health insured middle class or wealthy aged people. You might also have to serve disabled children.

Based on my experiences with contacting companies in recent weeks I think many get so used to the business they run that they expect new customers to know exactly what they offer and all their procedures and just fire off forms and documents without explaining to customers what they actually provide. Some companies could do with their staff looking at things afresh and start actually communicating with their customers. An example:

Finance company 1: receptionist just barked out the company name then when I told them what I wanted they passed me onto a sales agent who proceeded to take lots of contact details. They then told me what could stop them from doing business with me and never sent an email they promised. I have no idea what they offer.

Finance company 2: after a introductory chat and listening to me they then took my details and sent a quick email so I would have their details to hand, and have since followed up on my further questions

Bank 1: the call centre took my details and said a manager would call me back. The manager then said they could help and dumped 6 complex forms in my inbox to complete and send back. I only have a vague idea of what they offer and won't waste hours filling in the forms without an indication as to if they are even interested in my business.

Bank 2: the call centre talked through my needs and sent me an email with some requested info. The manager then called so we could meet up for an informal chat to see if it is worth putting a formal proposal together.

Well so far online dating is still doing fine. Not for me personally, just for affilate sales/pay per click/order on my websites. Revenue has been pretty static so far this year. I still feel at the mercy of Google though.. it's tough going staying up there in the rankings and I know profits could crash overnight. Such is online life I guess.

I must be blind as I've never noticed this area on MSE before. Looking forward to getting to know you all. I've spent the last hour or so reading through the posts here.
It all seems so stupid it makes me want to give up.
But why should I give up, when it all seems so stupid ?

Well my sideline business.. (I work full time as an employee too) has been hit. I do aerial photography for properties, and at the moment nobody wants my service... to many people it is a "nice to have". Before these times I had work from some estate agents... all that has gone. But, this was not my main income, so I guess I am lucky there.

Currently setting up a recession proof online business.. whereby the user performs an action and gets cash.. sounds dodgy, but totally legit - sorry that description is vague, but the site is to be delivered in the next 2 weeks and I want to protect my idea.

I posted the above in late January, and I mentioned that within 2 weeks my recession proof internet idea would have gone live. Well, I had massive problems with the developer, so much so that he was dropped. I then took on another person to develop the site and it was done within 2 weeks.. it went live about 3 weeks ago and IS making money. Remember I posted back in Jan this year.. well the site in question is for comparing mobile phone prices that recyclers will pay out. In Jan the niche was tiny and if the developer had lived to the promises I would have had a stronger presence by now and MSE have a tool too now. Anyway, URL in my profile if you want a look.
