jd/style store card - whats happening please?

i have a jd store card that i have been paying off like forever....i use it for cash and pay for dvds and that from hmv and when buying clothes at jd....

now - hmv have stopped accepting it - the guy said he wasnt sure for definite but he thinks they may be going under - not jd just style

is that true? and what would happen to the debt if the firm did go under?

Hi. I can't answer all your questions but I had a Style card and was written to at the end of last year saying they were being withdrawn this month. I guess any card associated with them is affected as well. Their customer service is always very good so perhaps you could give them a call to find out what's going on.

thanks hun...i never got a letter saying you cant use the card anymore so yes will maybe write and ask them...

Is it any wonder that it feels like you have paid this card forever when you say that you use it for cash.
Cash on a credit card should be the absolutely last resort.

To answer your question if they do go under someone will take over and you will still owe the money.
