I ask as MM used to be the main contributor to these boards, and IMO the firm he respresents on these boards ( sorry should not say that - his views are personal ) would be the one with the most to lose if the public took up the -

Another thing I've not seen discussed and forgive me if this has been covered is muslim mortgages. As a newly qualified advisor any industry experience with these would be interesting as I have never come across one, and they are barely covered in Cemap.

I wait in vain for a product like this......
    Debt at highest (November 2005) = £35,856

    Debt currently (August 2006) = £20,790
    &More £1,530, Egg £6,800, HSBC £3,760, Egg Loan £8,700

Interim goal = £23,400 (Target: February 2006, Missed but acheived May 2006)
    2nd Interim Goal = £15,000, Target October 2006
Debt Free Date = February 2008 BUT I'M GOING TO BE TRYING FOR SOONER!!! :p

I gathered that, I only said that as a jovial response to a subject that got us (nearly)all so het-up!
    Hi Stanmoresaver,

Been a while- actually been manic, i think my phones got switched back on about a week ago!

Thought about you yesterday when a picture framing client phoned me to discuss the concept of getting a shop, but wasn't too keen on the idea of being committed to getting out of bed in the morning!

Presume you are as busy as always??
I am a fee charging WoM Mortgage broker.
I now no longer give information and opinion within the Mortgage boards, because a number of posters who, having approached me professionally, agreed my fee-which has been been made very clear at the outset, taken my advice (normally cancelling a [home visit] meeting at short notice) have then approached one of the fee-free brokers on here to arrange the very same deal I have advised.
Whilst I totally concur with the ethos of "money saving"- abusing the goodwill of a professional who provides a quality service is taking it too far!

Absolutely been crazy this last few weeks,

It has settled a bit now into a more sensible level, but still booked every evening for the next week and a half. Spend all day doing suitability letters at the moment :(

Just about to launch a new company doing commercial mortgages. Hopefully will go live at the beginning of March so may be looking to recruit an admin asst.

Have decided against a High Street 'retail' unit and have set my mind on a lovely little 2 room suite in an old converted farmyard, in a small business park with the likes of an accountant, surveyor and an architect. They are lovely little units in a smashing rural setting in a newly landscaped ex farmyard. Excellent rental terms too.

Having an afternoon R & R today playing Tiger Woods 2006 on the PS2, damn I love that game :)

Must catch up with each other next week somewhen.
