Sorry if this question has been asked before !!
A friend has around £25 of CC vouchers and has offered them to me as I want to increase my BA miles for a trip next summer.
Looking at the BA and Tesco website it seems its possible for me to convert them but is it allowed in the T&C's as the vouchers are in another name (and address) compared to my BA miles account
Thanks0 -
thnks NEH - I bit the bullet and called the macdonald booking line and asked if they could help. I couldn't find the getaway rates listed on the macdonald website. I was quoted a rate I couldn't find listed anywhere (as I suspected!) So my advice is to call first
Now I just need to decide where to go.......!
All the hotels i looked at the availability offered a getaway rate, strange...
What rate did they quote you then when you mentioned the Tesco vouchers?-Just wondering at it says getaway rate in the terms and conditions...0 -
I finally got round to phoning Tesco.....
had tried all my clubcard / clubcard plus numbers, only to find out that when DH applied recently for a credit card he'd linked it to my clubcard account ( he doesn't have one) so the details were automatically updated to his....
so I signed in, and sure enough it was his name, but with my D.O.B.
I just changed it back, and was ecstatic to find I had £139.50 in vouchers... but I already knew I had most of them.:o I know what's coming in the post, I suppose, so it was worth it for that.
Wonder how long it will be before we get emailed a voucher update every quarter rather than paper vouchers, would save them a few quid on postage I bet...Member of the first Mortgage Free in 3 challenge, no.19

The real bonus with rewards is when you would normally spend cash on the same thing.
Say you normally spend £30 cash on pizza in a pizza restaurant, if you pay with reward tokens £30, that has cost you 3 x £2.50 = £7.50 in vouchers, so £30 less £7.50 is £22.50 which is what you have to spend on something else.Posts are not advice and must not be relied upon.0 -

so am i right in thinking you only have to use 3 vouchers at PE,
can i still get the vouchers even though the clubcard gumpf is due soon0 -

I suspect that when the vouchers arrive, it will be in the name of your 'DH'! Also dubious about your "I just changed it back".
Suggest ring Clubcard again, but when 'DH' is with you (if it is in his name now, they would need to speak to him), and the merged cards could be demerged with the CCs in your name & Cr/Cd in his name.I used to work for Tesco - now retired - speciality Clubcard0 -
Haven't received my vouchers yet
When I log on to the new system account is shows them on my november online statement but they aren't available to use online etc. Does that mean they haven't even been printed yet? Any ideas when they should arrive....?
Early yet, yes printed and probably with Royal Mail by now - most this week, but maybe some later - by 18th!I used to work for Tesco - now retired - speciality Clubcard0 -

Sorry mate. I understand how it works, but your post has confused me!!
If the bill is £28. You use (currently) £7 of vouchers, for which you get 4x the value, ie £28 in Deal tokens. Therefore the meal is 'free'.Thank you for reading this message.0 -

I could have spent the £100 vouchers on food (which I wanted anyway and save £100 in bank) therefore I have £100 of food and £100 saved in bank, which is £200 in total the same as the TV I could have bought.
BUT, if I bought the TV I still need to buy some food. !!!
Which is the best option - this is really confusing me. !!!
If someone could explain this is so so so so simple terms it would help.UndertheWifesthumb wrote: »Anybody able to help with the workings / figures on this. What is the best to do?
Assuming you were planning on spending £200 on a new TV anyway, this also assumes you had £200 in the bank with which you were planning to buy it, in addition to the £100 you would have spent on food.
So you have £200 + £100 in cash (in bank) + £100 in vouchers
If you 'double up' and spend the vouchers on the TV and spend £100 cash on food, you will end up with the TV + £200 (cash not spent on TV) + £100 worth of food
If you spend the vouchers on food you will still have the £200 cash with which to buy the TV + £100 cash (from not spending it on food) + £100 of food so £300 cash + £100 of food , but no TV
If you subsequently purchase the £200 TV for cash, you will end up with the TV + £100 cash + £100 of food
So, assuming you were planning buy a TV anyway, you would do better to spend the vouchers (at double value) on the TV.2.22kWp Solar PV system installed Oct 2010, Fronius IG20 Inverter, south facing (-5 deg), 30 degree pitch, no shadingEverything will be alright in the end so, if it’s not yet alright, it means it’s not yet the endMFW #4 OPs: 2018 £866.89, 2019 £1322.33, 2020 £1337.07
