Also, you can't use someone else's CC vouchers. It's one of the questions you have to ask as a mystery shopper and the correct answer is no.
Absolutely right - the correct answer is no. BUT you can use vouchers, I think it's down to the cashier to check name, rather than the till to beep.
We have 3 clubcards in the house (all with the same surname) and I have used all of the vouchers against different clubcards at various times. Now proud Mumto3 :j0 -

Tesco may either 'ban' a customer from the clubcard system, or deduct points.
The former for example may relate to shop lifting, and having a card when caught. Also, some people have a habit of 'harvesting' collecting discarded receipts with clubcard points - that could result in banning or deductions.
Those who buy unregistered cards, do so at their own risk - many have points as a result of return of inkjet cartridges. T & C say you are only allowed to have credits for thirty per year, therefore would be well within their rights to deduct points - and send the value to the Charity of the Year.
I think any deductions by Tesco are on the basis of 'abuse of the Clubcard system'. That is by all means take advantage of bonus points, but don't take the p*** - by returns and expecting to keep the points!
Yes, vouchers have a life of two years - so if you want to save them by all means do so, but do have the oldest on the top!I used to work for Tesco - now retired - speciality Clubcard0 -

I know, well guess all that. But can they fairly by fair means cancel or stop your card by doing say 20000 points on the cd\dvd offer over the offer period?. I'm not talking about gaining points by foul means but by simply using the offers etc. By having the rewards scheme requiring a good £450 worth of points for an expensive flight must surely mean if your don't fraudulently collect the point then they have to allow many tens of thousands of points before blocking you card as there is simply no way you can get the points required for the flight they are advertising otherwise is there?.0 -

As to being able to acrue £450 worth of clubcard vouchers, as they are valid for two years - that's £56 - £57 a quarter, depends what you spend!I used to work for Tesco - now retired - speciality Clubcard0 -
I honestly don't know exactly how they determine the denominations, but it does vary from deal to deal.
I have ordered £120 of vouchers for a deal and been sent £100 and 2 * £10.
As jewellery is typically high spend, you would expect to get higher denomiation vouchers.
Probably easiest to give them a quick ring and see what they will send.
HTH
I think that these come in vouchers of upto £100 (haven't seen bigger). Remember that the minimum spend in Goldsmiths is £200 per transaction any combination of vouchers and cash.
My wife and I both bought rather expensive watches for each other using mainly vouchers. My one cost £1,900 for which I paid £120 in cash, the rest in vouchers - result:DThe force is strong in this one!0 -
Hi all
So I find the homepage a bit confusing and the tesco lines are shut due to bank holiday, so maybe u guys can help.
Just started a few months back with a club card and got some vouchers in the post, which I used.
If I dont use the vouchers do I retain the points? Or can I opt to have points instead of vouchers.
Basically what I am asking is that I would prefer to save my points over months and months to buy something big in the rewards store instead, can I opt to do that?0 -
No, if you don't use your vouchers either in store or convert them to rewards you will lose them when they expire. If you find you are drinking too much give this number a call. 0845 769 75550

Well basically Tesco send you out vouchers for all the points you've accumulated over the last 3 months or so (this time does vary). It's then up to you what you do with t hem. You can keep them somewhere safe and save them til you have enough for whatever reward you like, save them up and spend on say Christmas food and drink or say a tv from tescodirect, or just spend instore whenever they arrive. Using the points for rewards is the way to get maximum worth from the vouchers as £1 is worth up to £4 in rewards.
You can't get Tesco to do the saving for you.
It's only a game

Thanks both for the quick replys.
So would I be right in saying that I would punch in the code on the paper voucher for an online reward? I saw the online rewards where mahoosivley better than in store (after I used my first lot in store - doh!)0 -

Yes that's right - also, they have quite a long expiry date on them, so you can save them for 18 months or so. The actual vouchers tend to have a much shorter expiry (I think about months or so)The force is strong in this one!0
