bank accounts

Hi all just wondering, are there any disavantages to swaping who you bank with at this time? not fallen out with mine but just might be able to get a slighty better deal interest wise. this is only between the four main uk banks
any advice wellcomed. Ed

    But Lloyds and HBOS really count as two, as they still have completely different products.

    Thank you all for your replies sofar I was thinking Lloyds barclays h s b c & nat west, and I'm with h s b c, the others I thought are ex building soc not realy full banks, not meaning to be rude to any that use them. Ed

    Although they were once building societies, you'll still find that they offer proper current accounts, and they often have better accounts available than some of the more established banks.

    definitely worth having accounts at multiple banks.
