Unhappy with Estate Agent

Hi Guys

Just a bit of advice really, when we chose our EA one of the factors we took in consideration was advertising. The one we went with in Novemeber advertised with a well known website and it said so in their documentation (but isn't mentioned on the contract) and then we were told that we would also be on another one (that we'd never heard of but more the merrier).

My friend is house hunting and mentioned that she hadn't seen ours on their so I queried it with them & they no longer advertise with them  we're not very happy as the other website isn't very good, no formatting on the text so nothing stands out & the photo's are all blurred & the colours weird (so the terractto paint in the kitchen looks like it's been tango'd - vile!!)

They wouldn't put up a sign either saying that they had (not that us or the neighbours had seen) but it had been taken down so they wouldn't be putting another one up, until of course a To Let sign appeared for one of the flats near to us (there are only 30 houses on our estate) now we have one but it's like pulling teeth.

Not sure what to do  and we signed up for 26 weeks which doesn't end until the beginning of May but I don't think they are doing their best for us.

Any advice would be most appreciated - thanks :D

Are you with this EA exclusively til May; or could advertise with another EA aswell? But remember always double check the small print on any contract you sign.

  • Spoke to the EA & they are not going back the popular website & they said they were having problems with the new one & were sorting it out...... photo's etc are still rubbish.

Do I have an arguement with this due to the low quality of advertising???

    Thanks
