o lol, i wondered why none of my neighbours never heard of that, any ideas what type of rate that would be? as i am putting on £30 of electric each week, i dont have any boilers and i do not use any electric for my heating or hot water, i live in a normal 3 bed house with just 2 other adults.0

General Purpose has the same unit price as the Standard Tariff, that's some heavy usage if that is right.. is it a prepayment meter you have? is there a debt loaded on the meter - that maybe why it's eating up so much!0
-
no it is not a pre payment meter nor is there a debt on there, edf said if they come to check out the meter and it is not faulty then i will be liable to pay, its not as though i have lights on 24/7, or boil a kettle all the time, unlike my neighbour who has her kettle on the boil 24/7 and her 3 tvs on all day and at least 5 lights on all day and night hers is only £10pw, it just dont make sence to me, all edf say is check my usage every day by writting it down, i have done this i dont know how many times and have now got fed up with keep doing this, but i am not prepared to pay them any more monies if they do not find a fault on my meter.may be i should just sit in candle light, emmmmmmmmmmm wondering if the neighbours on the other side of me are hooked up to mine:mad:0

Tricky one then.
Unfortunately there is a charge if nothing is found wrong with your meter, about 35 pounds I think
EDF do have a free energy efficiency number, they will run through a consumption checklist with you to find out what maybe costing you so much.
It's worth doing.
It's also worth checking the meter serial number corresponds with the meter serial number on your bill, they may have it mixed up.0
