Increase in Sales

I have had this information from a good friend of ours for the last 20 years. I cannot believe it myself. It certainly wont make me go and buy anything at all unless it is buy one get one free (excluding cars).
The houses around us are not selling so it must only be new build which i suspect is because of the good offers they have at the moment. A friend of ours is trying to sell their house and not even a sniff of a buyer at the moment. In fact no-one is even coming to see the property!0

I think its picking up, weve got 4 viewers booked for the weekend, and we havent had any for 12 months.
Fingers croosed houses might start moving again, having said that i would like to see them drop another 20% if thats what they reckon, thing is where we are looking to move the drops are not that big and they dont look like they are going to be that big.
I think it all depends on areas, some areas are not being affected as much as others.I am not a Mortgage AdviserYou should note that this site doesn't check my status as not being a Mortgage Adviser, so you need to take my word for it. i can obiously only speak from personal experience but i would say its picking up in the construction sector at the moment slightly, certainly in the domestic sector ie in peoples houses as opposed to new house work, im a damp proofer and plasterer were getting 4 times as many enquires now as we did in october through until christmas which was quiet, and are now subsequently turning jobs away, which if someone would have said to me in october last year i would have laughed in there face
dont have a logical reason to explain it though as i would say generally money is still fairly tight.0

I work for a conveyancer and I've opened more new files in the last two weeks then we have been doing of late and I work in the New Build department.
I agree with Really2 that alot of people have felt like they their lives on hold and just want to move on.
I want house prices to keep dropping but with the amount of interest people are showing if it keeps on picking up like this I can only see prices going one way, unfortunately on the up
On the other hand I get to keep my job:jif buyers flood back to the market.0

Things are definately picking up, the new build estate i live on had been selling houses at the rate of 1 house every 2 months and now over the past month about 8 have sold and loads of people have been viewing, and the prices havnt even reduced from the level i bought at in December 2007.
The only difference is the 25% interest free for 10 years offer they are running but they have increased the houses that qualify for this by about £5k so all in all it works out nearly exactly the same price as i paid. Madness!!
Its amazing how many people fall for these offers, when in fact if you work it out there is no saving at all.0

I think people must be mad to do this just now even if there are good deals at the moment. What do you guys think?
How things change in a few weeks ??? I came in to this world with nothing and I've still got most of it left. :rolleyes:0 I came in to this world with nothing and I've still got most of it left. :rolleyes:0
