Pretty Flat Wedding Shoes

Hi everyone,

I am having to wear flats on my wedding day as heels (+ big hair) will result in me being about a foot taller than other half!!! We are same height without shoes 5'8.

I was trying to find some pretty flat (or flatish) shoes but have been having no luck as the ones i've seen all tend to be really old fashioned!

Any ideas or suggestions greatfully received!!!!!!!!

Possibly a completely stupid and ridiculous idea but could you buy some flip flops and decorate them yourself? or would you prefer the toes to be covered?

It's not a stupid idea at all but knowing my track record I will no doubt trip if I was to wear flip flops (especially with a long dress!!) And I like the idea of trainers too but its just not for me!

I just want some pretty wedding shoes which don't look like they should be on a 5 year old or a 70 year old which the ones so far have been (not that I'm being ageist!)

I would be totally interested in the answer to this question too as I am in the same boat as you Neeny!
I really dont want to have to lug a yellow pages directory around for my other half to stand on for the wedding piccies! hehe! :rotfl:

Seriously though, I had a look through wedding ideas magazine and they have a feature on pretty flat shoes.
