I have today had an auto update on AVG free version 8.0.233 - the update required a reboot - which I duly did.
Since then, the Web Shield is reporting to be disabled - however, when I go into it, it is enabled - all boxes ticked etc.
I'm a bit techno-thick, and can't work out what to do - can anyone offer advice please?

Right click shield icon and run a manual update, and then reboot again. Sometimes fixes it.0
