Hi, my partner has just lost his job and I was wondering if the property I own and rent out through agents will be taken into consideration when he makes his claim for jobseekers, does he claim for me ? I am claiming jobseekers but do not receive any benefits purely stamp payment.
Finally will they take the net or gross income into consideration ?? Please help .

depends whether he's entitled to contributions JSA or not.
if he is, then you're fine for 26 weeks.
if he's not (and would be on means tested like you), then yes - your property will also count against him as you're a couple.Cheryl0 -
