    Morning All

Back to work today after my day off yesterday, and I was going to try to be there for 8am, but I am not even dressed yet!

The weather isn't making me want to go out, it is pouring down and I have to walk into work.

Hope you all have a good day

Hi everyone....bit of a boring one here. Sold my shares this morning so that I can offer F&F to my bank in the next few days. Not much else happening. Oh yes - I had a go at making stock from the leftover chicken carcass last night and succeeded in boiling it all away.....not really cut out for this Old Style way am I??

Hello! My first post ever on a daily chat thread... been meaning to, and SuzySu's post has just persuaded me. I have a loan I *might* be able to repay - never missed a payment, but I do wonder about making a F&F (full and final, yeah?) offer .... how do you know what to offer? do you then haggle? Would be lovely to get clear of it. Or isn't this the done sort of post on the chat thread? Too sensible? Shall I get my coat?:o

  • Mooorning all.

Sorry for my melt down last night, Im sure it is hormone based.

I am trying to keep it together but not sure this whole 'pill' thing is working-surely I should still want to sit in a corner and rock and cry???

I'm not sure they'd accept a F&F if there's no arrears on the account - worth ringing them and asking for an early settlement figure though, then maybe ask if there's any discount for paying within 7 days or something?

    Morning all,

Bunny - How long have you been on the pill? I'd imagine it takes a good 3 months to settle into your system....keep at it and maybe look at what foods you should be eating to boost yourself when the hormones are due to hit.

Cold and grey here this morning and I've got to wait in for Mr T's to deliver the big monthly stock up shop.

Was really pleased that DH's pay rise hit yesterday, then he came home and said that an offer's been made for the company.....looks like it may be someone trying to weedle out competition  Who knows what will happen, but he's only been there 5 months.

Bunny - hi! Sorry you've had a meltdown - I've decided to narrowly avoid one by making sure I get a bit of light relief, hence posting here....hope you're feeling better today xx

Pooky - thanks! I might try and bargain a bit, true ... next week's task, I think!

    morning all -

i was talking to a long lost friend last night on FB, and her husband died in november, man flu turned into meningitis, she's same age as me, he was about 50... they have a young son of 10.

from here on in i'm going to count my blessings more......

Other than that i am still on a slimming mission, really worried i haven't lost anything this week..... if i haven't then CD is not for me... if i have then i will persevere....
I'm just a seething mass of contradictions....

Hi Karmacat - If you do a search for "full and final" you will find various posts with people's experience/tips. It's well worth doing. There's also a template letter on the National Debtline website. Good luck.
