BT Retail free takeover of an LLU line

I've never understood the £125 - Openreach charge £34.86 plus VAT for moving from LLU to Wholesale Line Rental or a different LLU provider according to the pricing section of their website, and have done for a year now.
The phone co-op are very good at having more realistic-to-cost charges for such things, as they don't tend to subsidise or overcharge new connections.
They offer LLU conversion back to BT wholesale for Phone Co-Op billing for £39.15. I'm bemused why BT Retail charge the full £125 in such an instance.

They are not the cheapest, or the most expensive. They are just more upfront, honest and plain talking than anyone else I've dealt with.0 -
