Expensive school uniforms - no more

My dd school insist on the school logo shirts and jumpers. They wont allow our local uniform shop to stock them so we are the only school in the area who have to buy at the school. The plain tshirts for pe look like dishcloths so I dont buy them.
Another bug bear is the school charging for school plays, childrens calender pretty much anything they can sell.0 -
Well it looks as if the Government also wants to see schools buck-up their ideas after a lot of advice over the past few years.

i must be amoung the lucky minority of parents who no longer need to buy expensive uniform, i buy one son cheap trousers and shirts from matalan, an school provide him with a jumper with school uniform on, other sons school, has no school uniform whatsoever, so wears what he wantsenjoy life, we only get one chance at it:)0
