Just wondering if anyone has had any experience with this company? I ordered tickets for Beyonce from them earlier, after reading their website and thinking they were a legitimate company (they have a couple of pages on how not to be scammed, a phone number and address, etc) However after this a friend brought it to my attention that theres been alot of complaints about them.
They don't seem to offer refunds, so I can't just cancel the tickets! I know from experience that the tickets don't usually get sent out until the week before the show, so can't worry too much until may. But was just wondering if anyone has personally dealt with them? I am travelling from Edinburgh to London to see Beyonce so obviously if I don't recieve the tickets it will be a major !!!! up.
Is there anything I can do?

They are ticket brokers based in London and have been around for some time. I am sure you can actually go to their store on Charing cross road but think it is called something else. Not saying you will get your tickets though0

I know they have an office, hence why I booked with them to begin with because I thought no bad company would leave an address and have a shop, but I have read many bad reviews! just wanted to know if anyone had had personal experience"Imperfection is beauty, madness is genius and it's better to be absolutely ridiculous than absolutely boring."0

not me personally, I stick to the main ones now and if I do not get a ticket for the required concert I wait until the later release of tickets. It is a sorry state the whole ticketing scene is in now for festivals and concerts. Too many people trying to make money from tickets rather than bloody going themselves.
Good luck0 -
I know I feel like I've been such an idiot I was weary but I saw them on google sponsered links and they have an address etc.
I have emailed them giving them 7 days to send my tickets or I will contact my bank about chargeback. This is already causing unnessary stress don't want to have to wait til may to see if tickets are legit."Imperfection is beauty, madness is genius and it's better to be absolutely ridiculous than absolutely boring."0 -
Just remember that google sponsored results are not necessarily non scamming companies. Also always worth search google for the prospective companies name before you purchase anything. At least you paid by card0

WELL EVERYONE - IF THINKING ABOUT ORDERING FROM DOUBLE8, MY ADVISE IS DONT DO IT!!!
After reading several pages of nothing but negativity towards their service, I decided to email them asking if they could give me my ticket seat numbers (which they havent provided) telling them that I will give them 7 days to send tickets or I will have to contact trading standards as they offer no cooling off period. I have not recieved a single reply, and when I try to call their offices I am put on hold.
just contacted credit card company who say that double8 have not yet "claimed" the money and if they do not claim the money there will be no dispute. However I'm thnking these cowboys will be claming my money and will be scamming me to the tune of £200.
I have since ordered tickets from seatwave which seems genuinue, because it is my 21st birthday present. Otherwise I wouldn't have bothered and would have missed a great concert because of these sad excuses for scum "double8." It is a disgrace these people are allowed to trade. Anyone else had dealings with them?"Imperfection is beauty, madness is genius and it's better to be absolutely ridiculous than absolutely boring."0 -
If the money hasn't been taken from your account yet, get your bank to block the transaction or cancel your card. Don't let them take your money - you might get it back at a later date if the tickets don't arrive, but it will take a long time and lots of stress.
If you can stop the payment, you'll then be free to buy your tickets from a legit source (ticketmaster or seetickets are the only ones I'd use) and plan your trip knowing your tickets will arrive.0 -
I contacted bank who said they couldn't do this as as soon as I ordered the tickets I entered a legal agreement that I would send the money as thats apparently what a credit card is!
Woman wasn't very helpful tbh. I'm not holding out much hope for getting my money back until after the concert date."Imperfection is beauty, madness is genius and it's better to be absolutely ridiculous than absolutely boring."0 -
Just to say that i have used double8 3 times and three times have ended up either first, second or thid row from the stage. Yes, it is a gamble, but they do make it clear around the site that they don't give out the seat numbers and it it is luck of the draw (hence different prices for first 5 rows, first 10 rows etc) I was simply not willing to miss out on the show and i could deal with anywhere in the first 5 rows....but have never been further back than row three at the o2 with tickets i have bought from them. All my tickets turned up between 3 weeks to 1 week prior as the main ticket dispatcher doesn't always print and send them at the same time as other outlets (i've found ticketmaster to be the WORST for sending out tickets....not double 8)
You asked for experiances- so there is mine. Nothing but positive for my three times and i would use again is a show i wanted to see so badly was sold out. As i always say with show tickets- whether from a broker or at the official sale time on ticketmaster- make your choice of where your willing to be for the show (pay out top whack for the front or just pleased to be there and take anything etc) and then go with your gut. I went to double 8 on the back of reccomendations from a few friends.
**I would also like to add that a friend of mine bout tickets from doublt 8 for Il Divo at Kedleston Hall in 2006. It was three days before the gig. Not only did she get her tickets BUT they sent out one extra by mistake- and as that was on the Saturday and the show was on a Sunday (so no way to get the ticket back to them) they let her keep it and didn't charge her. **
Hope this offers a positive users opinion to your query.0 -
Hi, I googled their post code and Ticketton (Uk) Limited are based at the same premises, their tele is 0207 379 7106. Try them on that number me thinks they will answer (0208 is an outer london number so they must have the 0208 number redirected).
Their limited company registration number is 02578273
Strangely enough if you google ticketron it offers you the double8 website!!!
If you have problems with money with them go on companies house website (Its a government website that lists details of all limited companies). It will give you their registered address which is in North West London and for a few pound will give you names of directors and they are supposed to enter their home addresses! So you could ring up and ask for the director by name and then tell him if i don't get my money back I will camp outside your house and tell all of your neighboors
Here is a review I found of them http://www.reviewcentre.com/reviews110827.html feel free to write your own review, the review on the 14th Jan 2009 by "Guest" is suspicious in my opinion. I thought the government recently brought a law in to stop companies doing that as well. I'm sure if the reviewcentre checked the isp of the review it would not trace back to double8
