I am thinking of buying a new stereo for my new car. At the moment I have a cassette stereo but I would like to play cds or MP3. I have seen this stereo in Argos and it seems really good. I just wondered whether anyone had any advice that would help me choose wisely.
Acoustic Solutions CD Radio with MP3 Playback
4 x 40 watts RMS.
FM/AM digital tuner with 30 station presets.
RDS/EON.
CD-R/CD-RW/MP3/WMA playback.
Repeat, random play, skip functions.
LCD display.
Bass, treble control.
Balance and fader.
Equalizer.
ISO connection.
2 x pre outs.
iPod shuffle compatible.
Remote control.
Anti shock protection.
Flip down detachable fascia with carry case.
There is also the problem of fitting the stereo into my car. So if anyone can give me some advice I would be very grateful for your help.

Fitting car stereos is a lot easier than it sounds. There's usually just one plug (with loads of wires going into it) that connects the stereo to the car's speakers etc.
If the plug on the new stereo doen't match the old one, I think you can get adapters at Halfords...
Sounds like a decent stereo - have you searched the web for independent reviews?0 -
4x40 W RMS... are you sure? I think it's gonna be 40 watts peak power... which means about 15-18 watts RMS. Just ensure that your speakers are adquate to push the power.
Also, regarding the installtion, if you let us know what car you have, it might be easier to determine how much work will be required in installing this unit. But, from what it sounds, you have a good deal.0
