Was reading this on another website........we are not alone!!!

Ha-ha..I found out today about another glitch in Boots' stores tills everone may be interested in. If you print off a voucher from the AC machine for the 150 points on any 'Everyday indulgence' range ( bath soak, hand wash, hand lotion etc ) a MEGA DEAL is occuring. If you get say 10 items, you will only pay for five of them as they're currently on BOGOF. Even better, for each of the 10 items you are getting 150 points so:
    10 items costing £1.66 ( Hand wash ) = £8.30 ( as its BOGOF)
    Then Boots kindly add:
    10 x 150 points to your card = £15

I gingerly tried it with 6 items earlier today and it worked. However, be warned though that the machine will only allow you to print 1 voucher off only no matter how many times you re-insert your card to try to get another. I had to get my step-daughters card to enable another voucher to be printed off. Soon after,we drove to a large store near Manchester and although it sounds greedy, we put 108 items    in the till. We did however leave plenty on the shelves for others. (Oh Yeah!)
    Total cost £112.55
Boots then kindly gave us £165 worth of points
We then bought an ipod from another part of the store! Result. I've a feeling this won't last long although it worked this evening at 6pm

Yup, I note from Shannon's link to the loyalty points forum that all the same info is skitting round, doubtless some people read several :)

The quoted poster is a bit of a shocker - my local Boots is a big one and there is no way they stock much in excess of 100 EI on the shelves, so I think 108 is the very definition of clearing them...

At mothers and toddlers group we try to teach the joy of sharing! :A

I wonder what they are going to do with that many? and if you have nothing to do with the surplus, and it would take years to use that much( human nature dictates she will be bored of it way before then) is it really a saving?? How much is an ipod?

There has been discussion earlier in the thread as to greed etc (and on the tesco thread) but i think (imho) that this truely defines it.I just hope she uses them in a good way, maybe hospices, or hostels.

(this is just my opinion, hope it doesn't offend)

I feel the same way.......it is way too excessive!
And here's me getting worried when I got 12! I still wouldn't go over the top like they did. It spoils it for others!
