    Hi all,
I am looking for a little dissuasion today... :o

    It's the No7 giftset. It's cute, it's a freebie and I wants it precious!

It's just that when I step back from this urge I find all these thoughts:
Gift Set - the foundation is the wrong colour, the lipstick is probably a wrong colour, almost all the rest is skincare - I don't need any more skincare, plus the last No7 skincare I bought (night cream) is still on probation as I'm not sure it agrees with me.
£15 on No.7 - I really don't need any of the staple stuff - foundation, eye base, concealer etc. That leaves the 'treat' stuff like lipstick and eyeshadows (we've knocked out skincare already and the No7 'prep for suntan' stuff is largely redundant for a girl with a moniker of Pale ;)). Even for points (to my thinking - okay it's not :A money :A but is very much '£15') I can't let myself blow so much on bits I'm indifferent about (not helped by almost having to hold back from doing same on the Jemma Kidd lipsticks!)
Gift voucher in set - a new points voucher means future agonising over how to use it when I don't actually fancy anything enough to spend the £4-ish extra!
Last Gift Set (Red) - Opened, didn't manage to use the voucher before it expired (shame on me), entirely unused!

So anyway - I know I *think* too much! Just wondering why several times a day in unguarded minutes I'm back to the plain urge to go get my free set?!

(Oh, and someone else please say you feel like this too.)

Snap! I don't need any of the stuff that's in the free gift, but I still keep wondering about whether I should get one anyway lol! Just thinking about it makes me dizzy stars.gif
  • I'm going to sound really stooopid and i'm sorry in advance but i had in my basket
    sun tan lotion £11
    sun tan lotion £11
    body buffer £5.50
    body buffer £5.50
i think the SA put the chocs through seperatly cause its not on my receipt
but i still can understand how to split it
the best i could do was £11 +£11 free
    and £5.50 + £5.50 free
or £11 and £5.50 free therefore only coming to £11 spend?

    I'm really sorry
if u put them all through together and 2 free bags u might have had to pay £22 (or if u were lucky £16.50) and got 2 free bags . thats what i did anyway. :j

Last night I dreamt I went to Boots, couldnt see any EI stuff so asked the SA if there was any out the back. She asked how much I wanted and I said "I'll have 16 handwashes if they are half price but 8 if they arent"

I think we need some kind of support group setting up:o

Yes, and me too, my colleagues are starting to walk away from me, my family doesn`t talk to me....

Ah - relevant to you Frogling, and other Chelters! - if you do succumb, be aware that the lady on the No7 counter is advising that the giftset *isn't* valid with the suncare (because that's on bogof). I strongly suspect this is wrong because the website shows both on those products, even though sometimes site and store differ. However, for a quiet life, another till probably wouldn't even raise a question as it's not their area. (Nice lady though!)

ps those of you who scored the winter organisers today, well done. I vaguely remember those as having great eye colours (I was too mean to pay full price of course). The summer one is much blander and has a lipstick I know I can't use :(

Part of the Furniture 1,000 Posts Name Dropper I've been Money Tipped!
I got the red gift bag before christmas and have used a couple of items. But some of it I will pop in a gift bag for my mum for mothers day.

I now have the new gift bag. Sorry will re-phrase it my husband has the gift bag that he will give me at some stage as a present.

Did I really need it no. Did I really need the No7 skin creams that was swapped for a couple of items that had already been bought and paid for. Probably not. But as an exchange was the only thing we could do as we had no receipt. I have ton of TD and now No7 Skin cream so I will be well kept for makeup and skincare for rest of the year. And it means I have nice makup and skincare for a small out lay.

I agree as I have no idea what I will get to use the 250 points voucher. But I used the last one up on some reduced no7 old style face spf cream which was 89p.

I think if you know that you don't want or need there is no point spending out the £15 to get the freebi. But if you know that you will need items in a few weeks or months and you know they will get used go for it.

But there is a fine line between money saving and and getting a gift for free. Just because it was free. But you had to spend £15 to get something for free. So it is hardly free.

    Yours

    Calley

    Exactly!!

I agree with you and PaleScene. I looked at what it comes with and didn't bother with it in the store. But... I ordered 4 of the No7 organisers online today so I'm getting one anyway!!

After the sad demise of the DR&TD vouchers, it will be good to have a fresh start and keep the offers fresh.

    Current offers:

Box Lindor Chocs 99p with £10 spend (1 to 14th Feb)

Free gift (Worth £33) with £15 No7 Spend - See message #4 for details
    * If keeping these for gift....remember to remove the 250point voucher inside! This voucher is valid from 1st Feb till 24th April*

Everyday Indulgence voucher in Advantage card machine. 150pts with every purchase. EI range currently on BOGOF, tills giving you 150 for EVERY EI item bought. (In effect, paying you to take them away!) Below is a pic of the handwash in the range....so you know what to look for! Please note: EI not showing as reduced or BOGOF in some stores...best to get a price check first. Also remember to make sure your store sells EI before getting the voucher from the ACM. A few people have lost out by not doing this.
A huge thanks to Mcallister1 for spotting this lucrative deal!

Boots No7 Suncare range on BOGOF. Spend £15 and get the No7 free gift too.

Mens toiletries...Spend £10 - get £4 off. With the added bonus of using the Ted Baker/FCUK/Hackett vouchers from the AC machine (100 pts each!)

    Make Up Offer:
There is an offer on currently for Urban Decay, Hard Candy, Karen Millen, Jemma Kidd and I think one other make up brand: if you buy two items they deduct £5.00 from the total. This also works on the reduced items in the Hard Candy range as I've bought these in two different Boots stores this weekend - not sure if it works on the other brands reduced items as haven't bought any. But the Hard Candy range seems to be reduced in lots of stores having talked to friends - it's usually on shelves with reductions rather than with the main make up stand.

There is a large sign up in my nearest Boots, but there is nothing in the large Boots in Bristol about it, so not everyone may know (offer worked in Bristol yesterday, much to SA's amazement when I got 4 reduced items for £3.00 )
Thanks to Mummysaver for this info!

Boots Shapers Crisps (Bacon bites and Salt/vinegar sticks) Not showing as on offer, but buy 4 and they are going through on a multisave for £1. This might not be in all stores....if unsure, get price check. Thanks to little_miss_welsh for this tip!

Skin kindly range: Going through as BOGOF, but not showing on shelf edge label. Price check first if in doubt. Thanks to Wee_Fifer for this one!

Bodyform New Generation ladies pads. £1.42 on shelf, but 99p at the till....with the added bonus of 99p voucher on some packs. (Looks like little booklet stuck to top of pack)
Boots Body Science Hair Shampoo & Conditioner. These range is currently on BOGOF. There is also a 100point voucher for this range in the ACM. So Bottle of shampoo and bottle of conditioner...£1.99 each, BOGOF,with ACM voucher =£1 to pay and 100pts!
    * Hair Science Controlling Gel (In a tube) is £1.24 and BOGOF so with the 100pt voucher it works out at 24p for the two! :D *
Boots 17 - free Frost French nail polish gift box when you spend £5.00 on Boots 17.

Free eyeliner when you spend £8.00 on Almay.

sorry if this is a bit late been off line for a few days, i borrowed my friends boots card on saturday she doesnt use it and id already took advantage of the EI offer on mine.
brought 16 EI items costing £13.94 giving me 2400 in points, so i went in again and got 2 no7 sun lotion at £12 each and 2 other sun items 1 at £11.50 and 1 at £8.50 all on BOGOF picked up 2 number 7 free gift bags took them to the till and said i want to use my card points to pay, she said i dont know whether the free gift offer will work but she tried and yes it did, so didnt even spend £15 to get each bag, great...

on the suncare stuff i think the till recognises the free items by the price still so even thought it only cost me 23.50 the till must of thought 44.00 because it still let me have 2 free bags, if i would of known i would of been really cheeky spent another pound and tried for 3, i might just do that 2morrow.
