Aldi have CFL bulbs on their special for 99p
I'm sure I picked some up from Morrisons the other week on offer - 99p for two! They still had one or two left in my local one last week.Fiscal drag, that's my problem. Too many people dragging on my fiscals.0 -
I want some ses candle energy saving bulbs where can i get them CHEAP?? They seem to be real expensive. Also the r50 energy saving spots, i saw some on a website 9.95 each so nearly £100 to replace all my usual ones.

The website I provided is used in many threads....very cheap in other bulbs, maybe not ses energy candles, but I aint a bulb expert, doing a quick google can see Argos do Philips for £5.99, again, don't know if this is good/bad, just trying to provide info which people might be able to use to come to their decision.0 -

It is obvious that you really know what you are on about when it comes to lights etc :T , so I wondered if you had any idea for a problem I have? (Sorry if it is off topic)
When we bought our house, the bathroom contained/contains 6 halogen lights scatterered around the ceiling. I do not like these halogen as sometimes it like a disco, lights on and off randomly...plus these need replacing a lot! I would like to change them, but wondered if there was something else (better) that might fit into the same holes already in the ceiling so I do not have to refill all six holes? (I know a sparky who would do any wiring/fixture replacement).
Not sure if any such thing exists, just wanted to check before fillling in the 6 holes and fitting another light?
Any info appreciated.
Cheers,
Steve
What sort of diameter are we talking about here ?
Don't give up too easily on low voltage. With a decent quality transformer/lamp/light fitting combination, their lamp life, fexibility and performance far exceeds their mains voltage equivalent.0
