    Xmas Saver!
Its the major problem called the credit crunch, also it could depend on your balance on the card, the other thing is that when a credit card company does a credit check it leaves a footprint on ur credit file, and as you have done 2 and been declined by both, I would suggest leaveing it 6 months then try again, sorry I fully appriciate that doesnt help the situ at mo, only thing I can suggest.

If you do desperately want to apply for a card have you tried a lifetime balance, think LloydsTSB do them.

only have £500 on it unlike many people who have thousands. So isnt a huge deal just thought transfering the balance is what martin always says too do when possible.

  • Erm. Just to say that as you have been turned down for 2 cards already the more you try to apply, the more times you get turned down will make it more difficult for you.

And I am not for one advocating anyone gets or applies for a credit card but you could try the Aqua Card. It's aimed specifically at anyone with a 'troubled' credit rating. But I'd be careful about how many you apply for as, if you get turned down by one, it's usually a good indicator for the next card. And so on. But look at the Aqua site. And, if you can't get one of those, given they cater for people with low credit - whether you consider you have a bad credit record or not; there are other factors you may never know of there in the background; some companies use stringent, and I mean stringent, checking nowadays and anything gets flagged it will go against you - then I would possibly stop applying for the moment.

    It's not fact, it's just a suggestion. ;)
Any help, opinions, views I may hold those are my own. Respect them as you would expect the same in return. Offered freely, is gleaned from a lifetime of experiences, knowledge gaining. Passed on to benefit others. I may be direct, ask you questions but those are to help you. Up to you if you choose to take it. I won't judge you either way.
