egyptian costume........for a 4year old boy...please help!

I've had a look at some costumes online to see if I can get some ideas and I think I know what I am doing but I thought I would appeal to all you clever peeps on here to see if you have any easy ways to create an egyptian costume for my DS.

Does anyone know of any free sewing patterns?

I'm okay with a sewing machine but not that good so anything complex would be out the window.

thanks in advance.

This doesn't look too complicated , you could simplify it by using a white shirt and simply made trousers and use your skills on the headress and apron

I did have visions of him in a tangled mess in the toilets!:rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:

I thought I might sew some bandages parallell (SP?) to ech other on some white cotton (old sheets prob!) and then make some simple trousers and a top so he can do normal boy stuff!! and then add some more bandages over that so it looks like he is unravelling. A few wrapped round his head, loosely of course!

I think I need to start work on this asap....I'll let you all know!

THanks for the inspiration and the ideas!

If he is a skinny binny you could use a pillowcase for the base and then sew bandages on top....slit for head and arms?
