Banking help Please

I currently have a joint account and savings account with Barclays. But they are really pi$$ing me off with their customer services at the moment so would like to move. But I have been looking around and I have just got confused.

I want a current account to pay my wage in every month and use for living with.

Also a savings account where I can put money in when i have some spare but also take out when I need to, which account would be best for this??

I would like to have both accounts with the same bank for ease of use

Cheers

Nationwide BS, Lloyds TSB are solid i would say having two or more accounts together. If you got a large amount saved, then Lloyds TSB would be a good choice. Do yuou have good credit history?

For customer service First Direct everytime but their savings rates are pants, on some accounts you only get 0.10% even over £100k e-savings account about 1% with them

As you seem to want unlimited deposits and withdrawals on the savings account, that restricts the choice if you also want a reasonable rate. I would say either:
Nationwide current account (no interest if you pay in up to £1500/month, very little above that, but free withdrawals abroad) with E-Savings (1.95%), or
Halifax (2.5% interest on the current account if opened before 8th(?) Feb, or £5/month credited to your account if opened after then, with Bank of Scotland IASA as the savings account (3%). Transfers between Halifax and BOS are instant, as they are basically the same company with different branding.
