I can only presume that they are waiting for an offer to be sent to me and Investor Compensation are quite happy to sit on their butts, do nothing to chase a settlement, and wait for their 30% plus VAT of any offer I am made.0

Back in the early days of PPI, some of them used to send automated chaser letters after a certain timeframe (Gladstone Brookes and their hilarious "first 8 week warning" and "second 8 week warning" letters which went nowhere besides the confidential waste). Some of them also used to make chaser phone calls. However, it was very much routine "where's it up to, still waiting, OK I'll note the file". Nowadays most banks won't even take their calls if the case is still within the 8 week timescale.0
