Possibly a dumb question, but if I want to see my credit report do i need to get it from Equifax AND experian, or will it be the same info in both? If its the same, how do I decide which one to get?

You only need to apply to one or the other. They will both provide the same information.
I get mine now from Experian. I prefer the way the data is laid out to Exifax's.0 -
Thanks.
I will apply now.

I think the one difference is the searches. Generally credit searches will only appear on one or the other, not both, but apart from that, they seem to have identical information about how you've maintained your accounts.
And I agree with Mr_Nick, I prefer the Experian layout to Equifax's.

Well, I specifically want it because I just applied for a Virgin card, and it went through ok, but the guy on the phone had to clear up some address issues with me - apparently different companies are using two versions of my address which he said looked a little odd. He suggested getting a credit report and changing my address to be the same on them all - especially as we only moved 2 months ago.
So hopefully just the one report will tell me which companies are using which addresses.0 -

It looks as if you need to disassociate yourself from your old address. Experian will do this for you if you write to them once you have your file from them.
When I still lived with my parents I disassociated myself from then 'credit wise' because they were affecting my credit rating. Your issue I think is much the same; except it's an address you want to remove.0 -
Thanks - hopefully it will be something straightforward.0
